Welcome to our last installment of our Holiday Handmade series! We've had a lot of fun picking out some great little projects that you can make for your family and friends this season. If you missed any of our installments, you can find them here:
My Little Apron
Wally revealed our last clue in his Wally's Weekender newsletter. Did you guess what it is?
And the answer is......Heather Bailey's Marlo Bloom Handbag!
This is a great little handbag to carry all your essentials. Measuring approximately 16"x20" including the handles, it is large enough for those of us who keep our purses full of things we just "might" need! The Marlo Bloom handbag also includes directions for an adorable flower pin. Make more than one and then change them out to fit the season or your mood!
This handbag came together quickly and the directions were pretty straightforward. It's a nice change of pace to use scissors instead of rotary cutters and mats! The only tricky part for me was doing the gathering stitches - I never seem to get them just right! I fussed over those things for what seemed like an hour. :)
I used some of our wonderful Flannel Essentials by Buggy Barn for the outer, and some Cool Cats with cute kitty sayings on it for the lining. The flannel gives it a more wintry feel, which is perfect for this season! I'm excited to try it out and see how many people comment on its cuteness while I'm doing my holiday shopping.
